I’ve been a newborn and family photographer for over 10 years, and I am thrilled that I have found my passion! I absolutely adore working with my amazing clients, and getting to know so many local families. I meet many of my clients during their maternity sessions, when they are glowing, and anticipating the arrival of their newest family member. It is such an exciting time for my families, and I am THRILLED that most of them return year after year as their family grows! Newborn photography requires a completely different set of skills than most other genres of photography, including PATIENCE, being absolutely in tune with babies needs, safety concern (and safety training!), no fear of being peed &/or pooped on, ability to “keep cool” while working in a toasty studio (meant to keep baby comfortable!), posing expertise…and most of all…an insane collection of props! I have filled my studio with beautiful, handcrafted items and fit baby perfectly! I select props based on safety first, and then analyze other factors (such as uniqueness, how well it fits my personal style, how versatile it is, etc). I love supporting other small business owners, and always try to purchase quality items that have been hand crafted by other small business owners. Family sessions require far fewer props (and a much cooler room!), but I do have adorable outfits, crates, chairs, backdrops and more for my clients to use during our session together. Finally, I have a HUGE collection of maternity dresses, maternity gowns, maternity one pieces, floral crowns, and more for my mama and mama to be to use during their session.
