Prop Junkie?

We recently moved, and I FINALLY have the space for an amazing studio! I am rapidly filling my shelves with some adorable props, chairs, backgrounds, and more. I figured it might be helpful to show clients what I have to offer BEFORE they show up for a session. Here are are few of my favorites (I just realized that I forgot to take some pics of my hat collection. So there’s that, too.)

I am just so in love with all of these tiny chairs. I *just* found the gray one while antique shopping, and it is my new favorite!

Fluffy bean bag chairs, and a HUGE baby poser. Great for all ages!

“Jelly” the horse, and a bike made by my father-in-law (and used my my husband MANY years ago!)

I made this moon while everyone else in Seattle was watching the Superbowl this year. I LOVE it. It has a white side, and a yellow side, and is perfect for newborns through preschool aged kids.

I am in love with these beds. I made these, and 5 more for all my kids, nieces, and nephews this xmas!

Wraps in all colors, textures, etc. We use these as wraps, blankets, basket filler, back drops…

The perfect chair. This chair is amazing. Just the right size for a cozy shot of a family, AND perfect for littles. Looks AMAZING outside and inside!

Owls. Babies. ‘Nuff said.

I made this ruffle bum the other night, and when I finished, I showed it to my husband and declared it so adorable it *almost* made me want to have another baby to put it on. 😉

Immaculate Lynnwood Home

I had the opportunity to photograph an amazing home on Thursday, AND I found out that the sellers are the family who purchased our home just a few weeks ago. I know in some states it is customary to MEET the people you are selling to, but it is not the case here in Washington. I am so happy I had the chance to meet them!

This. House. Is. Gorgeous. Seriously. The details are simply amazing. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with beautiful updates and details throughout. Here are some of my favorite photos:

Mother’s Day {mini} Sessions

Mother’s day Mini Sessions!

Surprise mom with a mini photo session! I am booking 45 minute sessions at our in-home studio in Snohomish (VERY near Mill Creek). Prints will be ready for gifting for Mother’s Day!

Details: 45 minute sessions can be booked by emailing me at mjenkinsphotography@gmail.com

Sessions will be held at our studio in Snohomish, WA on May 3^rd. I will email you a linke to view “proofs” of edited photos from the session, and you will choose your favorites for prints. Proofs will be emailed by 10:00 am May 5^th. If you would like prints ready by Mother’s Day, please select your favorite images before midnight May 5th. Additional prints may be added to your order upon viewing the proof gallery. Prints will be delivered by Saturday, May 10^th. High Resolution digital files (package C) will be available by May 5th.

*Canvas prints will not be ready for pick up until AFTER Mother’s Day (my printing lab requires more time for shipping and printing for canvases). They will be delivered by May 30th.

Photobooth: 80’s Style.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to set up a photo booth for my sister’s 30th birthday. She is supremely fabulous, and planned an amazing 80’s themed murder mystery party. It was a total blast, and the photos from our photo booth are so funny. I especially love the school portraits, complete with 80’s laser light background! I can’t wait to do another photo booth session!

Edmonds Real Estate Photoshoot

My husband and I have spend the last 4 months looking for a new home. We decided it was time to upgrade, and were hoping to find a house a little bigger, and a lot closer to Harrison’s work. I had NO IDEA how stressful house hunting would be. I thought it would be sooo fun. I was wrong. We have likely made our Real Estate agent wish she wasn’t our neighbor (and friend) because she could fire us otherwise. I digress.. Throughout this entire process, I have learned how powerful it is to have GREAT photographs in real estate. Even knowing the power that a photograph can have to lure you into loving a home, I am not able to resist the allure of a beautifully photographed home.

I had the opportunity to photograph a fantastic home on Thursday, and this house is awesome! It has so many distinct and beautiful outdoor spaces (a basketball court, two decks, two patios, synthetic grass!) as well as an updated interior. If you are looking for a home in the Edmonds, WA area, this house is a definite keeper…if it wasn’t the same square footage as our current house, it would be a definitely contender for our family!
