Our hot chocolate stand was a smashing success, and Santa spent the entire day in the studio. We had so much fun, and I was super excited to have so many returning families for these minis! We were totally booked, and every family except one had done a session with me before!!
I got to meet an amazing new family and see some of my very favorite families too. Love my job!!

Guys..I love this family! I met them 6 months ago, for the littlest’s newborn session. I cannot believe how much she has grown, and I am so glad I got to work with them for some family photos! Another beautiful family with an adorable newborn! This little guy is *almost* three weeks old, but I was shocked by how engaged he is and he was so clearly making eye contact. I swear, he even smiled a real smile for dad! He has a hilariously strong startle reflex, and we got lots of pictures with his arms everywhere. Mom & dad were both awesome, and it was such a pleasure to meet them! I love the photos of baby’s brand new skin against dad’s tattooed arms.

There must be something in the air, because I have been scheduling newborn sessions like CRAZY! This little lady was wide awake for her session, and totally rocked it! Mom, Dad, Grandma & Grandpa were all so proud of this beautiful little girl. Also, Mama looks AMAZING. Like, drop-dead-gorgeous. Dad was a hoot, and had some goofy ideas for photos, which we (of course!) made happen. One of them ended up being a composite shot of dad “squatting” over our nest. Go ahead and use your imagination for that one…

GAH! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE newborn sessions? This session had it all! An adorable baby, a sweet big brother, and gorgeous (and fun!) parents. Mom looks amazing, and both mom & dad were so relaxed…or at least REALLY good at faking it. Despite our best efforts, we weren’t able to get baby to sleep, which means we didn’t get the snuggly, sleepy pics…but boy did she nail the awake shots! While little sis was nursing (every 10 minutes…), big brother was a total ham and a natural in front of the camera. Oh, and my son Rex has decided that big brother is his new best friend. After brother was done with his duties, he went to play with my little guy. It was so perfect!
I have a lot of catching up to do! This session was nearly a month ago, but it was SO MUCH FUN!! This little nugget was seriously, the most easygoing kiddo I have worked with to date. She braved the FREEZING cold, windy, weather for some adorable family shots…and then we hit up a coffee shop, and one of their favorite antique shops for some candid family shots. I know mom from grade school, and it was so great to see her again and meet her family. I loved that they were looking for a casual, candid session, and I just got to hang with them and capture the love, fun, and warmth they share as a family.

..and and AND!! SANTA will be there for a surprise visit! Kiddos will get a photo with Santa, who will give each child a small gift. This fun session will create lasting memories!!
One of the questions I always ask parents when planning a session is “What are some particular interest of each child to be photographed? What gets them talking?” Well, the response from this family was that getting their little one talking is NOT the problem! She is crazy outgoing, and was so fun, silly, and beautiful!
We met at Country Village in the morning, and it was FREEZING. We cut our outdoor part a bit short, mostly because little miss’ teeth were chattering. We headed to the studio for the second half of the session. Mom wanted to make sure to get some belated birthday photos, and I *adore* her birthday dress. It is just gorgeous with her hair & skin tone.
This was such a beautiful, kind, and fun family. I love my job!

I met this adorable family at Tambark Creek Park. We were hoping that we would get a chance to get some candid shots at the dog park, but unfortunately…the fence was too low (these guys are jumpers!). Instead, we explored the park…with leashes attached. Both of the beautiful pups are rescues, and believe it or not, they are not related. I had fun exploring the park with Bella & Mosley with their human friend, who had trained these guys so well. Another fantastic family!

This family of 4 just might be the most relaxed family I have worked with to date! I discovered during the session that mom is a teacher at my daughter’s school…and now I am HOPING that Riley gets her for a teacher next year! She was so calm & patient with the kids during the session, skills any teacher of Riley’s definitely needs. Dad was also super chill, and I didn’t catch him looking bored/annoyed the ENTIRE session (super impressive for a dad..at a photoshoot…on a Saturday!)
Big sister had fun exploring the field outside the studio, and was especially impressed with the frost on the grass & trees. My favorite picture from the session is of big sister grinning while riding on dad’s shoulders.
