I booked ONE mini session for two weeks ago. I though to myself…”self, if you are going to be at Bothell Landing anyway…you should just put the word out and book a few more session…” Two days later, I had 5 sessions booked. For one day. It was so fun, but SO EXHAUSTING.
There are some really great things about mini sessions, like:
-They are short, and better suited for short attention spans (read: dads, and toddlers)
-They are less expensive (which is AWESOME, obviously)
-The are a great way to see if you like a photographer’s style without investing a ton of $ and time.
These are all the reasons I like to do mini sessions, and will continue to do them. I did, however, realize that 30 minutes is not enough time to get to know a family. Getting to meet new families is one of my favorite parts about my job, and 30 minutes just flies by. I didn’t feel like I got to know some of the families I met on Saturday as well as I would have liked to…but hopefully, I will get to work with them again, and get to know them even better!
I really lucked out with ALL of my families from this round of mini sessions. All were super sweet, easy going, and gorgeous!
